Forage on the Farm

Our friend Nomadic Roots Herbals is hosting an event at Raleigh City Farm! Event and Ticket Purchasing information is below.

Come on out to Raleigh City Farm and take a walking plant tour with local herbalist, LeAnna Cargman. We’ll discuss in season beneficial freeloaders aka weeds, focusing on:

  • Identification

  • Safe & ethical foraging practices

  • History & lore

  • How to transform our discoveries into food, craft, or medicine.

Weed walks are always different depending on the time of year, so there’s always something new to smell, taste, discover, & learn!

NOMADIC ROOTS HERBAL’S MISSION IS TO DEEPEN OUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE NATURAL WORLD THROUGH A UNIQUE BLEND OF SCIENCE, DISCOVERY, AND TAPPING INTO THE WONDER OF OUR INTUITIVE KNOWING. GATHERINGS ARE BUILT ON A FOUNDATION OF BOTANY, MATERIA MEDICA, HERBAL HISTORY, & FOLKLORE TO PAINT A DETAILED PICTURE OF PLANTS AS PART OF OUR COMMUNITY RATHER THAN A COMMODITY.

Foraging walks are designed for 12+ but all are welcome.
