Donating food to nonprofits that address food insecurity and access

Raleigh City Farm believes in “sharing it forward,” and our Farmshare program does just that. Throughout the year, we share our produce with local nonprofit organizations who address food insecurity and access. Learn more about the program, our partners, and how you can support Farmshare.

Our Farmshare Program

Raleigh City Farm is a nonprofit urban farm nestled in the heart of downtown Raleigh on a one-acre lot. We grow a diverse range of produce year-round in the field, in our greenhouse, and in our high tunnel.

We donate our fresh-grown food all year long to local nonprofits partners addressing food insecurity and access. From April to November, we host a weekly Farmstand and any unsold produce is given to our nonprofit partners. From November to March, the majority of produce grown on the farm is donated to our partners.

Our harvest from 2020-2023 is ~33,000 lbs of healthy produce; our goal is to ensure that 95% is affordable and accessible.
