The Dirt on Seeds: Seed Starting and the Spring Garden

Welcome to seed starting 101 where we will discuss the process of how we grow all of our crops from seed on the farm. Grow healthy, vigorous vegetables by learning about seed sourcing, viability, germination, common issues we face and techniques we use regarding transplanting, direct seeding and soil blocking.

We will cover basic supplies needed to start, our favorite soil mixes and what we’re growing in our spring garden this year.

Everyone will go home with knowledge, confidence, and 12 newly planted seed pots!
